Courtney Stamper

Courtney Stamper is a trial lawyer. He believes that the jury system is the great equalizer between those that unfairly stand between justice and the accused or injured.

Courtney grew up in Texas and lived in this community for most of his life. Through the example of his mother and father, he learned the value of hard work and long days to get the job done. Never one to shy away from a challenge, he believes that if it’s worth doing then it’s worth doing right. This commitment to excellence defines every aspect of his practice. He has devoted countless hours to honing his craft through not only study but also not being afraid to get in the arena and go to battle. He is a graduate of the renowned  Trial Lawyers College where he collaborated with some of the most successful trial lawyers in the country. He believes that success lies in connecting with jurors on a deeper level through authentic and compelling story telling, and to that end, every client has a story that should be told.

Courtney is often asked to lecture to other attorneys on various law-related topics. Throughout his career, he has served the legal community through leadership roles ranging from a local bail bond board to various bar associations, including serving on the Board of Directors of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association.

During law school, Courtney served on the Executive Board of the Board of Barristers, was a National Champion member of the ABA Mock Arbitration Team where he and his team beat top law schools from across the nation, and he advocated on numerous other winning teams. In recognizing his hard work and achievements, the law school selected Courtney to join the coveted ranks of the Order of Barristers. One of the most formative legal experiences of his career came through the Texas Tech Law School Criminal Defense clinic where he represented numerous clients under his professor – who is himself a true champion for the underdog and the mistreated. Based on his hard work and skill, Courtney earned the Clifford A. Brown award for outstanding student attorney in his clinic class.
