(Ideal For Law Students Seeking Practical Experience) At Sellers Law Firm, law clerks gain hands-on experience in high-stakes criminal defense and civil rights litigation. You’ll support attorneys with legal research, discovery review, case preparation, and file organization. Clerks are entrusted with meaningful work and expected to take ownership of tasks. You’ll also be exposed to courtroom proceedings and trained on our systems like MyCase, Dropbox, and Evernote.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with legal research and drafting
- Prepare, organize, and review discovery
- Draft shell documents using Word and MyCase
- Attend client intakes and hearings when appropriate
- Assist with calendaring and file maintenance
What we're looking for:
- Current enrollment in an accredited law school
- Attention to detail and strong legal writing
- Professional demeanor and discretion
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to the team
